Optical fiber patch cord collocation problem If the optical module does not respond to being inserted into the network cord of the switch, check whether the optical fiber patch cord is compatible with the optical module. Single-mode optical modules need to be used with single-mode patch cord, while multi-mode optical modules need to be used with multi-mode patch cord.
