Optical fiber patch cord collocation problem

If the optical module does not respond to being inserted into the network cord of the switch, check whether the optical fiber patch cord is compatible with the optical module. Single-mode optical modules need to be used with single-mode patch cord, while multi-mode optical modules need to be used with multi-mode patch cord. Single-mode optical fibers patch cord are yellow, and multi-mode optical fibers patch cord are orange, aqua, or violet.

Compatibility issue

If the fiber patch cord collocation is correct can not be used, it is necessary to consider whether the optical module is written into the compatibility code of the brand equipment, we can consult the manufacturer, if the device has been written into the brand compatibility code, can not operate normally, this problem may be the machine is the latest model, the compatibility code can only be used in the old model of the machine, then it is necessary to find the compatibility code of the new model of the machine. Therefore, the new and old switch and optical module incompatible problem is the wiring needs to pay attention to.
