2. Principle
Floor heating thermostats are mainly divided into two types, mechanical and electronic.

Mechanical type: A temperature control switch that uses a sensitive gas diaphragm or a temperature sensing element to form a mechanical contact. There are many such thermostats in European and American markets, but few in China. Its advantages are low cost, simple installation and use, and good long-term reliability. The disadvantages are large deviation of temperature control switch (generally greater than ±3℃), intuitionistic display, and single function; and the output contact current is only 8A, which also limits Its application in electric heating engineering.

Electronic: There are liquid crystal display (electronic thermostats with liquid crystal display have programmable functions) and without liquid crystal display. In the electronic type, the thermistor senses the ambient temperature, and controls the operation or stop of the connected heater or cooler through a relay. It has the advantages of low cost, simple operation and high temperature control accuracy (±1℃). It is superior to mechanical thermostat in terms of function. Some brand products also have energy-saving programming function, which can automatically lower the set temperature by 5℃ when you are not at home.

Second.  The installation of the thermostat

The floor heating thermostat is installed on the inner wall, which is usually similar to the light switch position. Try to choose an uncovered place when installing. Generally, the thermostat is installed at a height of 1.2m-1.5m from the ground. There should be no heat dissipation device around it. Avoid direct sunlight. The temperature sensor below should not be covered. There is no heat dissipation and cooling device around it. It is not suitable to be installed where people often stay s position. The water heating system is equipped with electric valves to be opened and closed by the thermostat, and the passive linkage port of the thermostat controls the wall-hung boiler and the system pump to save energy.


Do not install the thermostat in the bathroom, sauna, or steam room (walls with high humidity or water splashing). In this case, the thermostat must be installed outside, and the lead of an extended ground probe is used to control the ground temperature.


Third. Material selection and use of thermostat

When using a floor heating system, in order to achieve a comfortable and economical effect, you must be familiar with the correct use of the temperature control system. It is recommended for the elderly and children to choose simple and convenient operation.


Notes:


1. It is a misunderstanding that the thermostat is suddenly set at a very high temperature in order to quickly reach the set temperature, which will not make the room warm up quickly.
2. When people go out in a room where no one is staying, the temperature indication scale can be adjusted to the corresponding gear, because the system is turned off and then turned on again to heat up very slowly, and frequent turning on and off does not achieve energy saving.
3. Please do not cover the thermostat with furniture, etc. There should be no heat source around the thermostat to avoid temperature monitoring and control errors.
4. The thermostat is not a high-precision precision electronic component. It requires a temperature control accuracy of ±0.5-1℃, which is actually impossible and unnecessary.
